Accounting in shipping is fast-paced and always moving. Revenues, costs, and exchange rates fluctuate with market changes, so maintaining accurate balances and robust consolidations is crucial. At Grieg Maritime Group, accounting is central to everything we do. 

As Head of Accounting, you will bring everything together. You will lead group consolidations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and deliver clear and timely reports in accordance with IFRS and NGAAP. You will combine results from different companies, manage reconciliations, eliminations, and currency changes, and make sure management and the Board get the information they need. 

This role is also about making our work better. You will propose new tools, automate tasks where it makes sense, and standardize processes to close faster and make our numbers easier to understand. You will maintain strong policies and controls, work closely with our auditors, and help ensure our subsidiaries and joint ventures follow the same standards.

The ideal candidate has at least a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. You have extensive experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting - ideally in the shipping or offshore industries.

You will work in our offices in Bergen, Norway, and report to our VP Business Controlling and Transformation.
