We will expand our fleet from 29 to 38 ships in the next two years. To handle the increased complexities, we have established a new position as an Insurance and Claims Handler at Grieg Star.

It is important to us to avoid situations that may result in a claim. We expect you to be a vital part of working to achieve this, working closely with our crewing, technical and HSEQ departments, as well as the contingency team.

Sometimes incidents result in claims, and it will be your job to handle these until we have settled the case. You will also actively participate in insurance negotiations and handle and ensure coverage of all vessels under Grieg Star management.

We do not require that you have extensive experience within the field but will ensure our experienced team gives you the support you need to grow and be comfortable in the job. Still, a bachelor's degree including international maritime law, experience with claims handling, or deep-sea sailing experience as a deck officer will be advantageous.

You will work at Grieg Gaarden in Bergen and report to VP Fleet Support.
